Promoting native and locally adapted honey bees
that are sustainable, varroa resistant and productive

Who we are

BIBBA (Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders Association) is dedicated to improving and conserving Apis mellifera mellifera, the native honey bee of Britain and Ireland (aka European Dark Bee), and to encourage beekeepers to keep locally adapted honey bees in areas where Amm doesn’t exist.

CaSCA

Whether you’re just starting out or running a large-scale operation, running a beekeeping business can be overwhelming and finding ways to improve efficiency and profitability isn’t always straightforward.

Bees for Sale

BIBBA are encouraging their members to raise extra queens and nucs to sell (ideally locally) in order that we can dissuade beekeepers from buying imported stock.
