Let’s Go Beekeeping is a series of practical videos packed full of top tips to encourage improved knowledge and skills levels, helping beekeepers to better understand and manage their colonies.
Presented by Roger Patterson, with help from others in the team, these invaluable videos demonstrate over 60 years of practical beekeeping knowledge and skill. This is real down to earth beekeeping, often showing methods that Roger learnt fro
m other beekeepers, or developed himself and has used successfully for many years. Some methods and techniques may be previously unknown to some viewers and may not be found in books, courses or other videos, but they work.
Roger delivers engaging and practical sessions on a wide variety of bee-related topics, including colony management, assembling hive parts, assessing a colony, removing unwanted food from brood combs, queen rearing and much more, sharing invaluable hands-on knowledge in a clear, insightful and enjoyable way. For further interest, there are also visits to other beekeepers.

For three days, except for a change of clothes, this is how we were dressed. The bees were a delight.
Like all of Roger’s presentations, what you see is what you get, with no frills or flashy presentations, just good, sound, sensible beekeeping. Videos vary in length from a few minutes to much longer, depending on the topic. These un-scripted videos demonstrate the wealth of knowledge he has that he willingly passes on to others. So, as Roger says, “beekeeping is fun”: join us on a journey through the craft of beekeeping and make others aware of this great resource, so they can enjoy it too.
